Giant Food Stores

A&E Construction Co. has been responsible for the construction of multiple new Giant Food Stores located in Pennsylvania. The approximately 80,000 SF supermarket projects are single-story masonry buildings with mezzanine levels in the front and back; steel joist roofs and steel columns; coordination of refrigeration; low voltage wiring, electric, HVAC, plumbing; VCT, wall coverings, ceramic tile, paint, and acoustical ceiling tile. The location in Broomall also included a white TPO roof with 55 skylights and Nichiha architectural siding panels. A&E Construction Co. was also responsible for the conversion of four former Genuardi’s Family Markets into new Giant Food Stores. Because the stores remained fully operational during the conversion, much of the work at the Springfield, Wynnewood, Huntington Valley, and Flourtown locations were performed overnight.
