OUR PROCESS IS NO ACCIDENT

A&E’s approach to safety management is to be as proactive as possible during the early planning stages of a project and monitor its implementation to ensure the highest level of success. We retain the services of a health, safety, and environmental consulting firm to assist us with our safety program.

Accident Prevention

Prior to construction, A&E and the safety consultant meet with the owner’s representatives to establish a project-specific safety program that incorporates A&E’s Accident Prevention and Safety Program components along with all the owner’s health, safety, and environmental requirements.

Subcontractor Programs

This project safety program is then incorporated into the subcontractor procurement process thereby ensuring that the construction team has all the necessary safety components. Prior to starting work on-site, the subcontractor safety programs are reviewed with each subcontractor to ensure that their field personnel is prepared to follow the project safety program.

Safety First

Our field crew motto of Safety First has become emblematic of our dedication to safety in the field, as evidenced by our Experience Modification Rating of 0.692. Our superintendents receive OSHA 30-hour training.

Daily Inspections

Regular and specific project safety inspections are performed independently by the safety consultant’s personnel to ensure proper implementation of the project safety program. Follow-up is immediate. The field superintendent has daily responsibility to ensure that the project safety program is being implemented and meets with the owner’s representatives to review on a regular basis. The entire site construction team is also responsible to assist in reinforcing the project safety program on a daily basis.
