SEPTA Wayne Train Station
A&E Construction Co. was responsible for improvements to the Wayne Train Station, part of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA). Phase 1 included the construction of Amtrak’s new storage yard and a portion of the new outbound High-Level Platform. Phase 2 involved the construction of the balance of the new outbound High-Level Platform as well as the new inbound High-Level Platform. Phase 3 involved the demolition and construction of new inbound and outbound Low-Level Platforms; multiple improvements to the historical station building, including roof replacement, toilet room renovations, ticket office upgrades, and pedestrian tunnel rehabilitation. Throughout all phases, the station was brought into compliance with all Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
